Keef (”coming down your marble hall”)
Can’t recall exactly if Keef was offered a gong from the palace, but I know he was aghast when Mick accepted his. If he ever were to accept, which he won’t, I’d imagine him rolling down buckingham palace’s marble halls in a state like this, camouflaged by smoke and waving his best skull bracelet at the rooms full of Canalettos.
Compositionally this demonstrates busy and quiet areas. As in interiors, it is desirable to leave relative emptiness to make focal areas more important. This is also true in music, where space can be used to great effect. It is true too in life.
